Trucking and Motor Carrier Resources
Why Trucking Matters
According to Freight Analysis Framework estimates for 2017, more than 95% of Florida's intrastate tonnage was moved by truck. There are also many areas of the state not accessible by other modes such as rail, air, or sea, so trucking plays a critical role in goods movement. Florida faces challenges of continuing population growth, a rapidly diversifying economy, improving our infrastructure, and preserving our exceptional natural environment. This requires a creative and visionary approach to addressing the mobility needs of Florida’s citizens, businesses, and visitors.
