Communications Office

Welcome to FDOT’s Communications Office

The Communications Office plays a vital role in conveying the department's story. This office is responsible for keeping the public, transportation stakeholders, the media, and staff informed about FDOT projects, initiatives, partnerships, and educational campaigns FDOT has communications staff in each district office throughout the state who work to communicate the department’s message collectively.

Publications

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) creates various publications, including reference guides, maps, and project literature, to serve all Floridians and visitors by providing information on transportation issues. These materials are tailored to meet the needs of specific audiences and explain the department's organization, key contacts, responsibilities, transportation financing, and the design and construction processes.

Response to Inquiries and the General Public

The Communications Office team is an essential component of our organization, dedicated to providing prompt and accurate responses to inquiries from both the press and the general public. Their efforts ensure that information is effectively communicated, fostering transparency and trust. Additionally, the team actively participates in the public involvement process, engaging with community members to gather feedback, address concerns, and encourage participation in various initiatives. This dual role not only enhances our outreach but also strengthens our connection with the community we serve.
