The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is a division-level organization within the Florida Department of Transportation. OIT supports the Department's five-year work program by managing an automated information-processing environment that is reliable,
secure, cost-effective, and responsive. OIT program resources are employed to educate department personnel on the use and application of information technology to accomplish the objectives and operations of the department. OIT activities and resources
provide for the processing, storing, and retrieving data, system development and maintenance, statewide computer network management, information security administration, and general information consulting services supporting the Department.
The Agency's Chief Information Officer (CIO) serves as the director of OIT. Four primary divisions within OIT are headed by managers who report to the CIO: Application Services, CyberSecurity,

The Office of Information Technology's vision is to serve the needs of the Department’s internal and external customers by ensuring the quality delivery of systems and an information technology infrastructure that is free from unexpected downtime, unauthorized access, or loss. The use of this infrastructure is intuitive and inspires innovative business processes that support the accomplishment of departmental objectives.
