The Office of Safety's mission is to continually improve the safety of Central Florida's traveling public and FDOT employees. We work with communities to identify and help resolve traffic safety issues; we gather, analyze and report data on traffic crashes, injuries and deaths in Florida; distribute state and federal traffic safety funds; and conduct public education campaigns.

 

Since the Office of Safety in District 5 was established on June 1, 2021, we have been working hard to establish our goals and plan how best to move forward as we strive for zero fatalities and serious injuries on our roadways.
