Public Involvement

FDOT completed a comprehensive public involvement program during the Project Development and Environment (PD&E) study of US 27 from the Highlands County Line to north of SR 60, including the interchange at SR 60. The program included the public meetings listed below.

Similarly, the Department developed a Community Awareness Plan (CAP) that was implemented during the design phase. The CAP will include a public meeting to present the results of the design. In addition, FDOT project representatives are available to make a presentation about the project to community groups and organizations as requested.
