PUBLIC HEARING

The Public Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, June 18, 2024 (Virtual), and Thursday, June 20, 2024 (In-Person)

There are two ways to participate in the meeting:

Virtual: Persons who do not wish to attend the Public Hearing in person can join the hearing virtually at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. To register for the Public Hearing, please use the following link https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/2055561615257046103.

You will receive an email with a link to log in the day of the virtual meeting. If using a mobile device, the free “GoToWebinar” application is required to attend. Please allow adequate log-in time to view the presentation in its entirety. To join by phone during the virtual hearing, please dial + 1 (415) 655-0052, Access Code, 667-135-921. The Public Hearing will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a formal presentation, followed by a public comment period. 

In-Person: The Public Hearing will be held at Community Center-Vero Beach located at 2266 14th Avenue, Vero Beach, Florida 32960 on Thursday, June 20, 2024. The Public Hearing will begin at 6:30 p.m. with an open house. A formal presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m., followed by a public comment period. 

The same information will be presented at both the in-person and virtual Public Hearing, so attending both is not necessary. All exhibits presented at the Public Hearing can be viewed electronically on the project website after the meeting on the Documents and Publications page.

If you would like to review the project documents prior to the Public Hearing, they will be available to the public beginning on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at the Indian River County Main Library located at 1600 21st Street, Vero Beach, Florida 32960. The library is open Monday and Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The documents are also available on the Documents and Publications page. The documents will remain on display through July 1, 2024. 

Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status.  Persons who require accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act or persons who require translation services (free of charge) should be requested at least seven days prior to the meeting.

The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by FDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. § 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated May 26, 2022, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and FDOT.
