A Regional Investment in I-75
Several other Project Development and Environmental (PD&E) Studies are currently underway along the corridor. I-75 was constructed in the mid-1950’s through the early 1960’s when Florida’s total population was less than 5 million. Today, Florida has grown to more than 22 million, and population is expected to reach over 27 million within the next 20 years. Tourism and freight growth have also continued to increase and contribute to congestion.
