Here are the various transportation options available in Northeast Florida. Choose your favorite mode of transportation to find out more information and resources related to that mode, then take the transportation challenge.



Train

Rail

Jacksonville Transportation Authority’s Skyway provides complimentary service through downtown streets and across the St. John’s River serving points of interest on both the Northbank and the Southbank via eight stations. Skyway stations at Convention Center and Kings Avenue offer inexpensive park-and-ride facilities for commuters and visitors.


Bus

Bus

Ride around Northeast Florida without having to worry about parking or the cost of gasoline. Use the following options based on the county you live in:

Clay Transit (Clay County Council on Aging)
Serving Clay County.

Gainesville Regional Transit System (RTS)
Serving the Gainesville Urbanized Area including the University of Florida.

Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA)
Serving Duval County. JTA provides bus, shuttle, trolley, Skyway and paratransit services.

Nassau Transit
Serving Nassau County.

St Johns County Transit Service
(The Sunshine Bus Company)

Serving St. Johns County.

Wildcat and Bobcat Shuttles
(Baker County Council on Aging)

Serving Baker County with connections to Alachua, Columbia and Duval County.

Many of these agencies also offer complimentary on-call services for individuals who are not able to use the regular fixed route bus service because of a disability, age or other limitations.

Ridesharing

Ridesharing is a great way to cutting down transportation costs and reducing your carbon footprint. Visit Cool to Pool to find out more about commute options such as carpooling and vanpooling and other commuter programs. Cool to Pool is a free rideshare matching service provided by the North Florida Transportation Planning Organization’s Commuter Services Program.

Telework

Telework is a work arrangement whereby employees are allowed to perform the normal duties and responsibilities of their positions through the use of computers or telecommunications, at home or another place apart from the employees' usual place of work. Ask your supervisor or human resources staff if you can telework during Mobility Week.
